New Canaan Townhouse Honored in 2011 Design Awards
The AIA of Connecticut recently announced the winners of the 2011 Design Awards. Among them, the Townhouse located at 173 Park Street designed by Joeb & Partners built by Prutting & Company was recognized as one of the best Single Family Residential Projects. Commissioned by David L. Prutting himself, the custom home showcases the uses of green technology with exquisite detailing in the heart of downtown New Canaan. Also to note, a waterfront house in Westchester, NY designed by Amanda Martocchio, architect of New Canaan with whom Prutting & Company has built several projects, also won an award in this category. Martocchio, currently a client of Prutting & Company, was recently honored in the October 2011 AIA Connecticut Bulletin with a front page article giving her company the “2011 Emerging Architectural Firm Award”.
